PTAs play a vital role in HE, enhancing education quality through teaching support, mentorship, and diverse perspectives. Despite their significance, limited research exists on PTAs in university education departments and their perceived contribution to HE roles and future job opportunities. By contextualising these experiences within a discipline-specific context, we aim to provide valuable insights into the role of PTAs as a potential springboard for future employment in academia.
